Capital of Culture 2009

How are ya all after Christmas/Eastmas/other-stmas celebrations? I really didn't start to feel my vacations yet. However, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR! (Just couldn't not to write this.)

And back to the main topic today - as some of you already know and some of you will find out in next five seconds, Vilnius is going to be the capital of european culture in year 2009. Here is the official website for this great opportunity to present the city to Europe (at least in my opinion it is so) - www.culturelive.lt. OK, some copy paste stuff now:

Programme vision - Vilnius – a European capital of the future that is open to people, cultures and innovation.

Programme mission - To create a new European cultural experience in which culture is a part of modern life and each individual its creator.

Some bla blas, but once again - idea is great! There are some superb events passed already and some upcoming in the nearest future! When checking the calendar for availability to see all this I'm quite sad as being mostly abroad doesn't allow me to see all these incredible things.

From today I'm becoming ambassador of this project (actually, anyone can become one) and I really hope to be able to make some input from myself in representing Vilnius as good as possible!

So, guys, Vilnius is waiting for you! :)

Anathema!

Incredible! Fascinating! Inimitable! Superb! That's how it feels after yesterdays live concert of Anathema! OK, they're one of my all tiem favorites and I might be unfair, but that was one of the best live shows I've ever seen. I'm really looking for some emotional elevation in such concerts. I really had such feeling in Shadowdances concert of Good-Bye. I felt something like this at NIN show. And yesterday was maybe the best show after Shadowdances! Just couple of hours before the concert one of my colleagues asked to send him my favorite song of Anathema. I did send Fragile Dreams - and this was the opening song in the evening! Followed by Empty.. After this I was feeling absolutely being part of all this atmosphere created by those talented and passionate guys from UK!

Just one question: who is Porcupine Tree? They were the main band of the evening and I just can't understand how such a 15 minutes glory band can be main than sharing the scene with band which is part of music history, genres creating band, one of best known alternative bands..

And here are some videos of best songs heard yesterday:

And now I'm waiting for the weekend Aksel is organising some CS party. Begining of next week can be quite hard :)))))

Svyturys!

YEY!!! Denmark is starting to show it's hospitality quite well!! Couple of days ago, before watching some euroleague game braodcast via internet, we went to the store for some beer. After looking for what to try, I found incredible thing - Svyturys beer!!! So, we have lithuanian beer here, lithuanian basketball and also there is one caffe where one lithuanian guy works as waiter - so even ordering your dinner is done in lithuanian :)
All day long living with two songs. First one is one of the best video clips which I've ever seen. Lacuna Coil - Our Truth:
It's like tradition thing to find one or couple project's songs. In Sweden Mika and Nelly Furtado were authors of our "anthem". Now this song seems to become the one: Timbaland feat One republic - Apologise.

Saturnus!

As I already mentioned, coming to Copenhagen I had some "must to" things. One of them was seeing Saturnus playing live - they're one of my favorite bands and one of most wanted to see!!

And I did it yesterday! Finding some underground club, when understanding being the only foreignerm but whatever - the show started then! Guys played some new songs (at least new for me), but the emotional satisfaction completely fullfilled me after such songs like "Rain Wash Me", "Pretend", "I Long", "Inflame My Heart", "Murky Waters".. And the last one - "Christ Goodbye" rocked all over the place and left all the best in my memories!

Here is one video from youtube. Saturnus plays "Rain Wash Me" in Stengade 30 - the same place as yesterday, just one year ago:

October

So, I'm back to the Internet (yes, with the big first I).. Gosh.. Anyway, from 1st of October I'm in new project at work: seems like we really are going on all Scandinavia, so, taking on the Denmark right now! We were promised to get the whole building for our project here.. We got it.. Let's call it The White House!!! Scandinavians are strange people... :)

Shortly about Copenhagen:
- even if beer is really expensive here, but at least you can bought it almmost everywhere and you can get best beers from all around the Europe (after year spent in Sweden this seems incredible).
- living in the oldtown is just crazy!! Everything is near you! Bye bye silent evenings...
- Music! Once being in NIN concert in Stockholm I thought: how I want to get next project in Denmark - I could see Saturnus playing live there! Guess what?! Two weeks later I will see them.. As well as Anathema and some other great bands a bit later this year! :)

Class meeting is fun! To see some of those guys you used to see each day when you were at school.. That's interesting.. Before this you just try to guess who became whom.. And the best part is then you realise that you were ritght on almost al of them.. But those surprises were the best :) Anyway, even not being real class pal I did enjoyed all this meeting. Five years ago I did wrote some of my dreams.. They became true.. Now I wrote some more - and I'm almost sure it will become true!!! ;)

And yeah - last weekend I came back to LTU with decision to get a break from everything and to go to rest to Klaipeda (it's already becoming a tradition to come here each year).. That was good! Even wishing for it being longer..

Sirenos!

Feels like it's way too late to write, but in the end of September there was a great theatre festival in Vilnius - Sirenos! As most of my emotions are alreaady calmed down after those spectacular performances, here goes some photos. I guess you can imagine how impressive were those four evenings for me..

Leaving Riga

Wednesday:

- Maybe the most boring day of courses. Even if themes were quite important - handling difficult people, performance management and so on. Or maybe that was the weather or smth, cause I wasn't the only one who really needed some sleep that day

- meeting with three travellers from Portugal! Great experience! Starting evening with some common themes and thinking only about one beer and finishing with four beers and invites to Portugal on wine making season next autumn! That sounded so good, that I will really try to come there. Bruno and friends, hope to meet you one day again as it was nice and funny evening..

- live music! live light jazz music!

thursday:

- I did choose it as a day of rest: take some walk after courses, have some reading, talks with friends, argues of some principles (don't give up) ;)

- so not much to tell about this day, unless you want to know what I was dreamin' :)

friday:

- the day of practical tasks on courses. Forget the theory, do what you know! That's what I loved in these courses - only theory hardly brings you t o the target, you just have to know how to work with that!

- coming home! It's really nice to be back to Vilnius! How often do I say this? And how often do I say: good to be back to Riga, Stockholm or whatever other place? :)

- I already have tickets to four performances in Sirenos festival! (Requiem For A Metamorphosis Dir. Jan Fabre, Road To Damascus Dir. Oskaras Korsunovas, The Little Match Girl Dir. Dan Jemmett and Tragedia Endogonidia. BR#04 Bruxelles. Dir. Romeo Castellucci) Who also goes there?

5 days in Riga

Third night is coming here.. So, key things about fist two days spent here:

When decinding to come here, I didn't knew that I'll wish to stay in Lithuania these days... However, it happened, so why not to take all the best from it?

Sunday:

- coming to Riga: Jack Kerouac "On the road" - that's the book I've chosen for this trip. I must admit that was a good choise. Those 4,5 hours in the bus going from Vilnius to Riga just passed by..

- The hotel isn't so close to work place as I was expecting.. Anyway, that's much better place comparing to some of my last experiences..

- bartenders in hotel talking english much easier than in russian? What's that??? I did always thought that russian has the same popularity as latvian here :)

Monday:

- it's about 40 minutes to go on foot from hotel to Mebius office.. anyway, it's good to have such a walk in the morning! :)

- Courses are fun! Maybe it would me better to say that all this opportunity to come to Riga for some good courses is perfect! 4 estonians, 7 latvians and only 1 lithuanian :)

- latvians do not care about basketball!!! WTF? Had so many problems until I was able to see the last quarter of that perfect game with France. GO LITHUANIA!

- Good management thinking in hotel - no free internet in rooms, only in bar on the top floor :) As I was watching basketball and had some internet chatting, I also did get some beers and meal.. nice management :)

Tuesday:

- I do start to like courses more and more! The task to go to the streets of Riga an to do some teamwork tasks, that look so stupid from aside, was a great thing!

- HC and CS starts to bore me a bit.. Maybe it's something wrong with me, but it starts to become unuseful crap.. It just doesn't work! And topics like 'thank you all for not helping me' are occuring more and more often.. However, I'm still a membet of this and hopefully an active member!

- nostalgie.. walking in the streets of Riga oldtown and remembering last summer when I visited this nice city for the first time.. Have you felt that strange and very warm feeling when you turn to unknown street and when you understand that you have been here? You remember people, you remember feelings, you remember the place! That's wonderful! ;)

- listening to live blues in some nice pub in the oldtown is just great!!! Try that!

- I was joking several days ago, that in the internet near most known persons with name Lukas I found Luke Skywalker from Star Wars... It seems that in hotel's bar I'm becoming George Lucas :D Or that walker in the sky.. or some other mystic or fun hero :D

- forty minutes walking on foot equals 10-15 minutes going on bus.. I'm getting additional half an hour to sleep in the morning! :)

P.S. But now that I have finally found you Im gonna take it one step at a time Lets try keep this good thing going You tell a joke, I nearly die We have to laugh until we cry Take mine, please take mine (copyright Anouk)

Back to LTU

Yey! I'm back to Lithuania for a month or more with some short breaks (am going to Riga next week for some courses). By the way, congrats to all of you whom 1st of September means something more than just the begining of autumn! :)

So, I can say that this comeback is just great. There was a city festival on the weekend.. Just saw Alina Orlova, "live sculptures' performance acted by some mimes and Andrius Mamontovas concert of course (say or think whatever you want, but for me this guy is a symbol of lithuanian music)!! That was the best I guess... And when he started playing old songs from Foje repertoire.. It just couldn't be better! Especially when there was one more person who made it even more glamorous ;)

And now - European basketball championship started and Lithuanian team seems to be very very very strong this year! GO LITHUANIA!!! Two wins already, seven left to go!

Trip photos

As I still can't find time enough to write about those great couple of days spent in Budapest, but I've already uploaded some photos here - picasaweb.google.com.

Budapest

Finally, some memorries from Budapest! Final stop of the trip before coming back to work.
Actually, I spent only two days there and I really believe that one day I'll be back for a much deeper acquaintance with the Hungary. So, let's start refreshing all the good time spent there :)

The city from the first step proved to be absolutely friendly with some travelers in the airport and my host guy, Peter, meeting me in the beautiful island of Margaret for some beers with friends of his.

Africa moved to the Europe.. Maybe I'm too nordic man, but that heat of +35 degrees by Celsius is way too much for me! I even couldn't bring the rain with myself this time..

Funny thins (occuring in most of post soviet countries, I guess) - people do not speak english.. asking in market center for tourist information, but getting directions only to bowling, caffes and jeans shops :)

Pigeons became my friends in this trip.. They were just posing in front of my camera :)

However, Peter (good luck to you in Brussels) and his friends, the atmosphere of the city where I felt like back to Lithuania after sights of Rome and Brussels, the wonderful views of night life and so on made me feeling a fan of this place.

Sorry for such short lines. But this trip was one of those very good things that happens to me.
Welcome to the club of black optimism!

Leaving Belgium

Once again - how fast can some ideas turn by 180 degrees.. I said that Brussels wasn't ok, but maybe what was really just because of wonderful Rome expierence. However, some good things also happened here :)

Firstly, I've decided to go to hostel's pub at night. Met one funny guy from Mexico, drank some beers and told him some joke about lithuanian and polish people (that wherever lithuanian will go he will find at least one polish). Then bartender came to me and said 'hi, guess where I am from' :) I feel that you don't need to try three times? Anyway, evening was quite god and fun this such company.

Mini Europe park is a place to visit for sure. But the best thing was that Lithuania has such a big area in it. There is copy of Vilnius University, 25 times smaller than original buildings. Anyway, it looks so giant comparing to some other monuments standing close and it looks so good! Promise to add picture of that this weekend ;)

The last thing done in Brussels was a small meeting of CouchSurfers. I wasn't expecting a lot from it and I can honeestly tell now that I was absolutely wrong. The guys who came (CS ambassador from Belgium, his two guests from USA and some guy from Netherlands) were so great company to talk to and to have a laugh that we just decided: it's sad we met on that day and couldn't spend some more time together. Hope to meet you once again guys!

That's from Belgium, which is very nice country.. But it's a mistake to come to that place after speding time in southern Europe. My guess would be to travel from north to south next time :)

Welcome to Budapest!

Brussels!

So, as you may already guess, I came to Belgium. After couple of hours searching of where to go in airport of Rome the decision was made. I've already seen capital of our old Europe, now came to see capital of new Europe.

Sadily but except one girl from Britain which left today and nice personel in hostel I almost didn't find anything what could beat feelings taken from Rome :/ OK, there are some very nice building, squares and so on, but I did find out that on this trip I'm searching for warmness of people which Italy was full of and Belgium is not..

Anyway, tomorrow am going to visit MiniEurope park, meet some travellers also, but I'm absolutely sure that a day later I'll be happy going to the airport and flying to the last stop of my vacations trip..

Guess 700 pictures in 5 days isn' much? :)

P.S. Seems like my old dream about visiting Budapest is becoming true... ;)

Last days in Rome

Now I can honestly tell that I'm absolutely in love with Rome!!! After great day with french guys I had a day of resting and some sleeping in the afternoon and in evening made some walking finishing putting pluses to things I must see. So, some thoughts from last two days in Rome:

1. Don' you ever again try beef floreciano made by some ancient roman receipt - I have never seen that big portion of food! But the wine was great!

2. French guys out, but girl from Tunisia left :) What a strange thing to realise that park into which you came half an hour ago has only one entry and exit.. Me and Fatima were going to see Coliseum at night, but had to turn back as all other exits were simply locked! However, mission was completed a bit later :)

3. The best news was that on my last day in Rome I will have a tour in Vatican with a guide only for myself :))) Thanks to you friendly people from CouchSurfing!

4. But here came one more guy to the tour, so we were three - me, guy from States and our guide (she's american living in Italy). Vatican is incredible!!! Even if I had some doubts on importance of making everything so expensive, but this time it was millions of paintings, statues, etc. What really surprised me - some gallery with modern art.. For example, painting with some scary old man with suite instead of Jesus on the cross...

5. I did mentioned that it's fun to see same people from the plane you arrived twice.. I did saw them three times already :) Who said Rome is big?

6. One suggestion - don't go to the places recommened by travel agencies when you want to have a party or just good evening feeling at leasdt a bit local.. Go to some area of the city which maybe isn't that beautiful, but is real! We found such a place.. Place where old italian men and women were playing old italian songs, also some crazy italian movie was being showed on, we were lots of locals playing table games all around us, sicilian home wine, sicilian home cheese and so on.. That was the best ending for my trip in Rome... But now I surely know that one day I'll be back here as I found everything what I wanted here: nice historical places, warm and friendly people and perfect atmosphere :)

First days in Rome

OK, guys. Here I am and finally have some time to sit and write something. I've made lots of pictures, but just I can't upload it into the internet. Some crazy italian indian internet caffe :)

So, main things in this trip so far:
1. Was always travelling and staying at someone from Hospitality Club. Couple of weeks ago one guy told me that using hostels is even more fun. I didn't want to believe that.. till this trip :) Hospitality Club sucked all the way this time and finding a hostel in the centre of the city was one of the best things! I've met there two guys and three girls (some of them were talking with incredibly nice french accent, I just loved it!) from France, who were traveling in Italy. A big thanks for those guys for a very good day spent together with them! ;)

2. Rome is a gopod place to get used to drink lots of water. You know, it is told that human has to drink 2 or 3 litres of water each day. Come here and you'll drink at least 4 with no thought that it's too much :)

3. Churcges are nice places.. But just a thought - does gold really has to help us to love God more? One french guy told: if all those money that were spent to build some of those churches were given to people, couple of villages could buy food for a year or two.. I know it's impressive.. but if to talk about the beauty.. Churches of Lutherons for example are touching my feelings much more.

4. However, it's incredible to see those ancient buildings in the city between caffes, offices and so on.. that's something totally worth of seeing!!!

5. A place called Cats sanctuary (as I was told) - a place with some, let's say, parts of very old buildings where no person can come in. The only living creatures in that place are cats!! Lots of cats! Seeing the place I started photoing the place and after noticing the first cat I made maybe 40 pictures of them. One even smiled to me when saw photo camera :)

6. Italian love for arts. I and couple of guys were sitting in one nice caffe taking photos of glasses, tables and so on. Then th e waiter come to us with some olives, put them onto the glass of martini and told that it should be very nice picture!

7. Meeting one traveller from CouchSurfing and making a picnic near the river in the centre of the city. Guys, I hope one day we could make it again as it was superb evening. Even talking with that homeless man, who seems to be a traveller around the Europe (only Europe! forgot to ask why). Listening to some of his stories and so on..

8. It is very fun to see (twice!) people in the streets from the flight you come to a city with millions of habitants :)

Am starting to think about my next stop as on Saturday I would like to leave this wonderful Rome.

P.S. Coffe, tea or me!? :)

Traveling

At last I've got first guests from HC! (From now on noone can tell that I'm only using it as guest myself) :) Even being totally tired after superb Rock nights, those guys made my evening absolutely interesting and fun!

Tomorrow I start my trip around.. around.. I don't know where :) I have one way ticket to Rome, billions of ideas and two weeks to see as much as possible and maybe to find some answers for my own questions (we all have such questions I guess)!

Hope to be able to put some photos here as often as it will be possible when being somewhere :)

Blogging

Yesterday I've heard a great idea about bloggers: when after lot of years and lot of wars we will destroy mankind, aliens will come to our planet.. And all what they will find will be just hard drives.. Then they will understand how important we thought we are..

So, cheers for important people! ;)

P.S. Waiting for vacations so much right now! Canoying, rock nights, Vilnius and non-planned trip around Europe!

Creepy TV

Maybe I'm working too much right now or something.. I came home about 23:30 yesterday (friday evening) from work and turned on TV, took some wine, chocolate... ANd the funniest moment on TV was this one: I turned on MTV and from some chaotic abstract background two little girls holding each others hands comes.. Then they together tells this line - "Have you seen my sister? She died...."

After couple of minutes of hysterical laughter I understood that the time to sleep for me has come :D

P.S. Try to watch some commercials after sleepless nights - you will find much more interestig in it :)) Bottles eating fruits, talking animals, flying cars, running houses and so on.. creepy! And funny :)

IT christening

It's been a while since my last post here. However, this evening I remembered my christening last weekend. I guess all 50 or smth new guys in this company can thank for great day :) So, shortly about it:

A good start

Some flying in this small helicopter (it seems I'm starting to forget that I'm affraid of height)

Lots of (and I really mean LOTS of) attractions in the way to become full rights colleague. After that the only thought was to get to the water ar soon as possible:

And finally, the greatest department of IT (actually just a small part of it):

P.S. Some more pics can be found here.

Friday madness @ the airports

Thanks to something but all my flights were OK till now. Maybe let's talk more about arriving to airport and checking in. As you already may guess - this time was more special :) The time was good, just we had electronic tickets so some more procedures had to be done. And everything started then we were waiting in a long queue for ticket office. It was left only about 25 minutes till flight. And then one guy asked - why are we in terminal 5 if this time we're flying from terminal 2 which is in another end of Stockholm's airport :) OK, running a kilometer with couple of big bags is fun! When we were at the place all red and sweaty, somewhy everyone trusted us when we told that we're a bit late and they should let us first to check in :D However, we managed it... One Finninsh guy sitting next to me in a plane even suggested me some local beers. I told him that we have only an hour..
But if something goes wrong then it goes wrong :) Landed in Helsinki and saw the best thing - our flight to Vilnius is delayed for more than 4 hours so now we have to wait for five or six hours :D I just have to mention that we had one guy who was celebrating his birthday, so ok - we're going to take some beer. We even got some lunchon voucher from AirBaltic. It was 16 Euros :D What can you get for this sum in Helsinki's airport? A small burger and one small beer :D That's a compensation!! :)
Anyway, after running, waiting, drinking and other attractions we came to Lithuania at last. And it was so good to drink some cold and good lithuanian beer at bix pub. Beerkend is starting! ;)

FOJE joke!

Even if this band do not play anymore for already ten long years but they're still number ONE here in Lithuania! And those guys are incredible! Last joke: on 17th March some people made a concert dedicated to ten years anniversary of Foje's last show. Some local "superstars" or "look at me, someone says I'm a star" made covers of best Foje songs. OK, let's forget this concert, it's not that interesting (to put it mildly) ;)

So, at the same time in the place where Foje's last show took place, four guys re-united for one song after 10 years!!! No fans, no rumours, no... anything.. They just came, played one song (actually they started their last concert with this song) and went away.. That's what I adore about them - no frames, no "everyone does so", no pompous things! Just something what borns suddenly, some idea of the moment, something what was totally surprising, what was totally sentimental...

P.S. And I know that today my playlist contains only Foje songs :)
P.P.S. If you want to see how this great song sounded 10 years ago click here!

Ferrum birthday: Atrocity!

Well, hi again! Last weekend spent in Lithuania again! Sleepless nights again also :) Waiting for the morning in Bix pub, walking in the oldtown till the midnight and Ferrum birthday concert for sure!

So, as I must admit that I was waiting for Atrocity only and the other bands were just 'good to see', the waiting of headliners was quite a long :)
However, let's start from the beginning. After two hours delay, the show started! The Perplexx (very interesting Lithuanian cross-breed metal band) performance was ruined with sound problems and I just was thinking how good records of them sound.. Wishing them not to experience such problems in the future (too optimistic I guess).
Then, Andaja came to the scene. I'm not big fan of this pagan metal band, but somewhy I really wait for their live shows. Those guys have some extraodinary energy which tooks you into their world.
Can't tell much about Latvians Preternatural as I decided to give some rest for my old neck and back :) And hey, I did it - a concert with only mineral water to drink :D
After some rest - welcome to the musical world of Atrocity and Leaves Eyes! I won't write lot about these guys.. I just can tell you that I was totally happy when they were playing and even if there were some problems about the sound - whatever! It was nice, it was good and it was worth to wait for them! And the way Alex Krull treated the public was incredible :) At the end of the show it was enough for him just to look, raise the hands and almost everyone were screaming and doing what he wanted :)

Two weekends in Vilnius, two great concerts, lots of memoriable moments and now falling into some rest from visiting live shows (but if you know something what will took place soon, just tell me!).. And yeah, am waiting for next weekend with no plans - only sleeping, sleeping, sleeping!

Have a nice dreams!

P.S. Photos are taken from Fotogriausmas once again.

Kunigunda Lunaria

Kunigunda Lunaria already became one of most awaited events of the year in Lithuanian music scene. So 6-7th of May are spent in Vilnius. As this festival provides lot of attractions (movies, excursions, even theater this year and so on), but the main thing is concerts on the evenings. And how can you not to like it when headliners are so well know bands like Spiritual Front, Last Days of Jesus, Gothika, Desdemona and others.

I missed the industrial/electronic music evening as just couldn't be back to Lithuania on time, so I tried to enjoy other two as much as possible.

So, my five favorite performances from the festival:
1. Vic Anselmo - from the very first chords this Latvian girl took me to the dream world of hers and that world is the place I really adore! She was the biggest surprise of the festival for me and choise number one who I want to see one more time!
2. Comedia D'el Arte - maybe I was looking for surprises on this festival, coz those guys like Vic Anselmo was the main discoveries for me. I have heard couple of songs of them before, but hey! This performance was very good and if these guys will keep on that, Lithuania may have a very interesting band in the nearest future!
3. Now it's getting tough. But maybe I will choose another Lithuanian band Saprophytes. Maybe because of the fact that I liked them quite much for couple of years already. This performance was a new start for them as almost all members of the band have changed. Anyway, it's still really powerful gothic metal and I must admit that they sounded more interesting than earlier.
4. Let's say it's Gothika, band from Japan. Actually I've seen only two or three songs performed by them as I had to leave the show, but they were tottaly incredible! The energy, image, music - it was one superb picture which takes all your attention and do not let you go away so easily...
5. Spiritual Front - I also heard not much of them as was running to meet some friends at another place, but it seemed like ideal ending of the day. Very impressive music, very warm performance and very nice atmosphere..

However, it was really worth to visit Kunigunda Lunaria and am already looking forward for the next years festival.

P.S. Pictures are taken from Fotogriausmas photo album.
P.P.S. Follow the links to get more information :)
P.P.P.S. The musicians day in the streets on Saturday was a completely superb idea!!! Don't you think so? :)

Hamburg!

Woohooo!! I made it! A three days trip to Hamburg is finished already and I must admit it was superb!

Even if it was hard to believe that there can be more than 2300 bridges in one city, now I can ask locals - is it really only 2000 of it? :)

I guess you can get scary seeing a very long story, so I'll try to make it as short as it's possible! So, everything started on some strange evening in Stockholm when I was feeling very bored. And then idea about visiting some European town came. After some browsing and time checking Hamburg became a leader for my plans. The next key thing was searching for local people who could offer a place to stay and some guiding help. OK, HC seems to be almighty on this ;) After this is the only one thing left - take a smile, as much energy as you can with yourself and let world show you the best it has!

Start in superb sofa caffe, that local weisse beer (how was it called?) and very good company silently promised that this weekend will stay in my memorry for a long time. The second day may be called 'acting tourist' day :) A long, very long walking the whole day and exploring the center of the city, resting in the incredibly beautiful places (just have to mention that Hamburg not only has lot of water but also it's one of the greeniest cities), having dinner in caffe located on some canal when swans are swimming around you.. And as it wasn't enough I got very good evening full of music :) After all this monday was like taking a city tour on a bus and remembering what was seen this weekend and what was missed (and maybe left for another trip to this beautiful place)...

Thanks to Ryanair for cheap flights, thanks Hospitality Club for helpful guys in the city, thanks to Katja and her friends for hosting me and great evening with guitar and attemps to create a new band :) Also big thanks to Tino and his lovely friends for very nice and funny company! You were great! ;)

P.S. Some open questions: what the hell is this those traffic-lights??? And another one: how many stairs did I had to walk getting into St.Michaelis's church tower?

P.P.S. if you're still have at least a small wish to see more - check couple of photos from these nice days!
